Infant no more

Logan has officially grown out of his mini-crib. He was about the length of the mattress and seemed to be uncomfortable every night, tossing and turning. It was a great little crib while it lasted, but he really needed something bigger. So, to craigslist I went and found a GREAT deal! A beautiful almost new maple 3-in-1 sleigh crib. It was $150 with the new Sealy mattress included. Logan sleeps much better now (when he sleeps)!

Decisions, decisions...

So now that I have this...

I need either this...

Or this...

I think the first bed mimics the lines of the armoire and the color of that bed is more of a lacquer that matches the finish of the armoire. However, I'm a sucker for the Mission style of the second bed. But the finish on that bed shows more of the natural wood grain, which the armoire does not. Any thoughts?

The Hair Blog

Today we all got haircuts. Chris' head was starting to look like a bloated mushroom, mine was scraggly and ragged looking and Logan was beginning to look a lot like a girl (a girl who stuck here finger in an electrical outlet). It had to be done! The best part about our hair cuts today (other than how awesome we look) was the price. We are quite fond of an Academy in Provo called Dallas Roberts. I am typically known as the "coupon queen" and have rarely ever paid full price for anything unless I have to. Dallas Roberts, being an academy is in its very essence inexpensive, however they have AWESOME coupons!

Chris' haircut: $4.00

My haircut and 12 foils underneath and a mineral treatment: $25.00

I KNOW RIGHT! So with a tip the total for both Chris and I was $38.00. Can't beat that.
After the hair cutting we headed over to Costco to pick up some groceries than to Red Robin for lunch. While we were at Provo Town Center, we decided that Logan needed his haircut too.
We went to Mastercuts for Logan's haircut, which was oddly more expensive than Chris' haircut (Logan's being $11.95). Logan didn't mind at all. He was a little bit apprehensive of the process to begin with but once the stylist (who was a sweetheart) gave him a spray bottle to play with, he was just fine.
He looks like a "big boy" now and I almost cried watching his little curls drop around him as she carefully cut through his baby hair. They gave us a "Baby's First Haircut" certificate and a lock of his hair for his baby book. I know hair grows back and with Chris and I's genetics, I'm sure he'll have another afro in a few weeks.
Here's the final product of Logan's haircut. He has a little mini faux-hawk just like his daddy. We couldn't get him to hold still long enough for a good picture as he wanted to walk all over the mall on his own and wouldn't let us hold him long enough to take the picture.
So now we're all clean shaven and classy.
